It doesn’t matter if this is your first, second, or fifth child, this is a time to forever cherish and remember. For over 15 years I have been photographing families throughout the area including Lake Zurich, Barrington, Palatine, and Arlington heights among others that are looking for a quality photographer with an approachable style. A maternity session beautifully captures that small blip of your pregnant self to pass onto your children as they grow up. Your child will love nothing more than to see how you looked while carrying them as they get older. Maternity/pregnancy photo sessions can be done in my studio, outdoors at sunset, or both if you can’t decide!
Not sure how to pose for photos? Let’s be honest…unless you’re a model or a photographer you’ll appreciate some guidance. That’s where my 15 plus years of posing mommas-to-be kicks in! I’ll use that experience to guide you to look amazing. If you want your hair or makeup done I’m happy to give some local recommendations. In fact, the studio has a hair salon right next door!
I can only accept a certain number of due dates a month to ensure a great experience for everyone that selects me as their photographer, so its best to reserve your due date several months in advance to be sure you have a spot in my schedule.
Digital-only options for maternity and newborn photography range from $500-$1700 with the balance being split up among your sessions. Of course, you also have the option to add on beautiful, heirloom-quality product only available through my studio. Most families choose the belly to baby package or a full maternity session to get the most out of their time with me.

Session details
Maternity sessions can be done in my Lake Zurich, IL studio or outdoors. Outdoor sessions are held in various locations in the NW Chicago suburbs such as Barrington, Palatine, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, or Vernon Hills just to name a few. Outdoor sessions are timed with the sunset to get that warm, beautiful light that I love.
Sessions at my Lake Zurich studio are private. You will not share the space with another family, photographer, or business. My space is dedicated to making you feel comfortable and at ease. I also provide all moms with access to various dresses or fabrics to use for you session from my extensive maternity wardrobe. Of course you are also able to provide your own if you have something special.
When to book a maternity session
I typically recommend reaching out to schedule your session as soon as you’re ready to ensure they have a spot in my busy calendar. For most moms, this is early in the 2nd trimester! I recommend scheduling anytime after the 30 week mark with the 32-35 week mark being the sweet spot. This allows some flexibility to reschedule in case of uncooperative weather for an outdoor session and that you’ll receive your photos before your due date.

My standard packages can be found in the graphic above. There are various options for you and each reflects the time and dedication I will provide for you. With over 15 years of experience, you can rest assured that your session will be taken with extreme care with precise editing to reflect that high level of experience.
A half session is perfect for those that want maternity photos but only want a few. These are shorter sessions that will beautifully capture you at this stage in life.
A full session also does this, but allows more flexibility. With the additional time, it also means more files are includes as well as the option for a wardrobe change or two. If you’re loving the idea of both in-studio and outdoor photos, this is the perfect session type for you.
