Hiring a professional photographer for their expertise and to record your family is one thing, but doing something with the art they create is why you really hired them, right?
Have you ever had a session you loved and once you receive the files you got so overwhelmed by all the choices with what to print, what sizes to print, where to hang them, or get distracted by life in general that you never printed them?
Have you ever had a computer crash and you lost everything on there, including photos? Always remember: when they day comes your files become corrupt and lost, you can always make another digital file from a printed photo.
Of course I offer digital files, but all the reasons listed above is why I firmly believe in printing your session’s photos. And you’re in luck – my studio has access to beautiful, handcrafted products that you cannot find just anywhere.
I’ll take it one step further to take the guesswork and stress out of it by creating something custom specifically for your home. I make this easy for you by simply returning to the Lake Zurich studio after your session to view the photos and make your selection with my knowledge and expertise. After 30-45 minutes you leave happily with the files and if you choose to print, knowing your favorite photos and products have been ordered and will be in your hands soon.
I’m talking product beyond your simple print or wrapped canvas. What my studio offers are hand crafted, heirloom pieces unlike anything you can purchase from a chain store. Below is just some of the specialty product I offer.
Barnwood Frames
With several different styles and colorings, each frame is hand crafted by a husband and wife team here in the midwest. Each frame is made with true aged barn wood sourced throughout the country (like oak and walnut) meaning that no two frames are identical . They come in several styles and colors with beautiful, rustic textures. The best part? I leave the backs open so that you can update your display over time!
This same team also offers an heirloom box which is amazing for newborn sessions. This hinged box display’s your favorite photo in the lid. Inside it has room inside not only for your session’s printed proofs and USB, but also other keepsakes, trinkets, and photos from your baby’s first year that you wish to safely keep.

Wood blocks
These are exactly as they sound – a block of wood with a photo printed onto the top and sealed. But they are so much more than that! Each one crafted by hand where you see organic, sanded edges and brushstrokes that seal your print onto the face of the wood (which also protects it from light and water). The wood grain does not show through, so no worries about strange veining or discoloration peeking through your chosen photos. While they come in basic squares and rectangles, they also come in circles or they can displayed together and hung by twine! Each wood block comes ready to hang on the wall or they can be displayed standing up vertically on a flat surface, making them a beautiful addition to your home. The rustic nature of these wood blocks coordinates beautifully with my barn wood frame options, meaning your display can mix and match between the two!
