Lake County IL baby photographer

Aaaah, the milestone 1 year session.  They’re pulling up. Standing.  Some are walking.  And their personalities shine more than ever.  Of course, the cake smash at the end is a personal favorite because I get to eat cake since the reactions the kiddos have to the cake is always different.  Lot of them cry.  Some love it.  And some really don’t care about it one way or another.

She loved what I call my “special box”.  I started calling it that to get the older kids excited about sitting or standing on a box.  After some time I’ve learned it truly is magic because kids love this thing, regardless of age.  Birthday girl loved it.  Her older sister loved it.  It’s a mainstay at all of my sessions!

But this one was so sweet and loved her mommy and daddy.  She and mom had an awesome cuddling moment (all kids need a break during their session) and I was so glad I happened to be standing right where I was when it happened.  Pure magic, right there.  You’ll know the photos when you see them below.
