outdoor family photos Lake County IL

Beautiful fall day with a beautiful family of four! I last saw them for their daughter’s newborn photos, so it was amazing to see how big she has gotten since then! Their oldest is a little ham, making all sorts of fun faces and expressions for me. His sister was a bit more cautious, but that comes with the young 1 year old territory. Enough cuddle with mom, dad, and brother helps to make it all better. And snacks. Lots of snacks, haha.

We met at these docks in a quiet part of Lake County. I adore this spot in the fall and have to be careful to not overuse it. In the summer there are mosquitoes all over because of the marina, which then absolutely LOVE to bite me to no end. I spray my body and my clothes and they do not care. Meanwhile the families I am photographing look like perfection since I am such a magnet. So once the cool weather hits and the bugs go away, I am all about using this spot. Plus we basically had it to ourselves for this photo session, so it made for a fairly peaceful evening together. Love it all!

Plus mom used my fun wardrobe planner service to get some ideas of what she and her family could wear. (She could have bought clothes directly through it, too) Easy stuff!
