So every session is unique in how they come about. Some families book months in advance, some weeks. I think this one was about 3 days in advance. Haha. I pride myself in being flexible and always doing everything possible to work a session in because I know how important photo sessions are. It doesn’t always work, but I love that I do have the ability to usually make things work for most.
This little girl recently turned one and mom was getting around to having her 1 year photos created. Z’s mom and dad are both super busy, so luckily mom’s free day worked with my schedule and the rest is history!

Little Z was so sweet. She had a stuffed cat that she loved was infatuated with beyond words. Her pure love for that cat was adorable to witness and the cat was very cute, so I can’t blame her for loving it so much. Mom is smart and has 2 others in backup for when one wears out or gets left somewhere. Best. Idea. Ever. I joked that my daughter’s lovie it quite ugly – we named him “Ugga” because he’s so ugly. True fact.

Z was a little apprehensive with me at first, but it’s totally OK because I was able to capture some photographs of her looking very sweet as well as some super smiley photos. When it came time for her cake smash portion, the icing was so thick she had trouble smashing it. I’ve never seen a cake’s icing so dense! No worries, I had a plastic knife on-hand to give Zoe some help. Well, the photo below show how she felt about that idea. Haha!

I do love newborns, but I think 1 year sessions are a close second favorite.
