Arlington Heights maternity photographer

This maternity photography session near Arlington Heights almost didn’t happen the day we had it planned! As a photographer I also have to somewhat be a part-time meteorologist and the forecast was not looking good. Spotty storms were happening all throughout the area but we decided to go for it! She already had her hair done for the day so we figured we may as well try.

We bumped up the time and bit just to be safe since there were a lot of clouds and not much sun. It was pretty dark when we arrived because of the clouds, but I did what photographers do (find the light) and made it work! Near the end we could hear thunder all around us and no joke, about 5 minutes into my drive home it started pouring. So the timing was perfect!

Also, look at how green everything was and those beautiful purple flowers! It’s such a difference from this bitter cold and snow we’re currently dealing with here in the Chicago area.

It may have been a humid, about-to-rain evening, but they looked flawless!

I was so happy the weather held out for all of us! They had such a beautiful session!
