Baby photos. Six month old photos. Sitter photos. Milestone photos. Call these short and sweet sessions whatever you want, but the goal is to get their little personality to show in a short amount of time. Which, as a photographer, I know its a lot harder than it seems! It’s a small window of time before they are hungry, tired, or just over the experience of having their photos taken.

It’s hard for me to believe this girl was the *last* newborn I photographed right before the pandemic hit. I know her family and I were both very cautious during that session – everything changed the day after I photographed her when the shutdown was announced.

Coming in for this session I was masked up and not sure what type of reaction I was going to get, so I was mentally preparing myself for every type of scenario. I forget that, for her, masked strangers is all she knew! She did such a good job showing off for me, grabbing her toes, and giggling. Oh, and her chunky little arms were perfection. I love them!

The little romper and tieback she is wearing come from the studio’s collection. Mom loved it when she saw it hanging and I’m so glad it fit this cutie! I know a lot of parents are thankful for the studio’s wardrobe simply for these types of sessions. It’s one less thing that families have to try to go out and find to prepare for their session.
