Barrington IL family photographer

It’s always a bit stressful photographing another local photographer like I did for this session with Samantha from Lost Sock. For any family, the pressure is on to deliver amazing photos but I feel like other photographers are secretly judging me the whole time, haha. However I’ve been on the other side and don’t second guess a thing my photographer is doing, so I know it’s just me being overly worried for no good reason.

I was at the marina near Barrington, IL for this family and holy begeezus, the colors were insane. I promise I did not change them when editing and that they were this out of control in person. I am pretty sure this single day they were at their peak and they all fell off overnight.

I absolutely love how mom’s dress perfectly matched the scenery around us. Of course we all pick clothes that compliment and look good with the location and season, but a perfect match I don’t think anyone could have prepared for! A special shout out to Mother Nature for cooperating in that aspect (for once).

Fall family sessions seem to be everyone’s favorite. The colors and cooler weather are so welcome after the dog days of summer. However, because of that it’s also known as a photographer’s busy season. If you’re wanting a fall session, its best to reach out in the early summer to ensure space on my calendar. (There’s only one of me and many of you).

My studio is in downtown Lake Zurich, however I photograph families all through, Barrington, Wauconda, Cary, Crystal Lake, Libertyville, and others throughout the area. I am also here to help you with styling your family’s wardrobe before the session, but this momma didn’t need it and clearly nailed the style!
