Colors | Chicago Botanical Garden family photography

I got to meet up with this awesome family again for a session.  This time it was at the Chicago Botanical Gardens.  I first met them when I captured their maternity and then again when I created their newborn photos.  This time, they wanted outdoor photos (which I LOVE this time of year) and they wanted bright summer colors.

This is where we hit a snag.  Fall was just starting to hit Chicago and we were in-between colors.  Summer color had died out and fall colors had not quite popped up in the area.  I drove all around trying to find color, asked my photographer friends, and no luck.  Gah!  When they brought up the Chicago Botanical Gardens I made the trek out there to scope it out and it was perfect!  There were bright colors all over the place!

Plus, can these guys get any more adorable?  I had such a fun time with them.  Big brother is a ham – check out the photo of him in his sunglasses.  I love it!  Little bro didn’t quite know what to make of me at first, but he was great by the end.  No problem!

The day of their session I think Chicago had it’s last heat spell.  Literally, 3 days later I had another outdoor session and the fall colors were in full effect along with the weather to match.  It’s crazy how fast the seasons change.  Thanks again so much for having such a fun session!
