Beautiful Fall family | Elmhurst family photography

Photographing a family in new area is always a treat.  More often than not I am shooting in the same few locations because my clients love them so much they specifically request them.  (And of course, I love them just as much).

Recently this family from Elmhurst, IL contacted me about family photography.  They wanted a session outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful scenery.  I had never been to Elmhurst so I went a few weeks before their session to check things out.  Oh my gosh, what a cute town!  The whole area was great, but I settled on photographing them around Elmhurst College.

The college area had so many beautiful trees, a really awesome home/mansion called Wilder Mansion, and right next door was a garden.  There was actually a wedding taking place on the mansion grounds that day, so that was fun to watch.  We started on the backside of the mansion to be out of their way, made our way over to the gardens, then looped our way back to the front of the mansion at the end.

Plus, their clothing.  Can we say “nailed it!” ?  I simply love how well they coordinate with each other and it works perfectly with the fall colors of their session.   And check out the little dude’s hat!  How cool!

Oh, and this boy loooved his lovie.  Seeing how happy he is cuddling with it puts such a huge smile on my face.
