Family photography Palatine IL

I love photographing this family! I met them several years ago when their oldest boy was just a bit younger than their youngest, here. They’re always fun and up for anything, which is perfect for my style. Controlled chaos is my thing, remember?

Letting families be themselves with some direction from me is my favorite strategy, if I can even call it that. These guys have such laid-back and fun personalities that I am sure you can feel by scrolling through some of their session below. Lots of giggles, lots of squeals, and lots of “what are you doing???” was heard when I was with them.

In the end there were lots of smiles and genuine looks that I go for when I photograph families. That raw emotion I know families enjoy, too. The sit and cheeeeeese photos can sometimes look forced, so my relaxed approach can really help the little ones loosen up with their real smiles.

My studio is in downtown Lake Zurich, IL, however I photograph all throughout Lake County and Cook County. My relaxed family sessions happen at sunset in the surrounding areas including Palatine, Highland Park, Lake Bluff, Libertyville, Arlington Heights, and more.
