The D family was referred by another of my previous clients and I’m so glad they found me! Their oldest son was just finishing up 8th grade so they took advantage of my Limited Edition outdoor sessions to capture this special time in his life along with some family photographs. I met with them at one of the preserves here in Lake County just before sunset. The light was great! Plus, after being trapped inside the studio after such a long winter here in the Chicago area it was a nice chance of pace to finally be back outdoors. I love love LOVE sunset sessions and I love being outside, so this was right up my alley.

I know he is super excited to be done with Jr. High and move onto high school – he was already counting down the days until summer vacation started. I remember feeling that same way when I was his age so I totally sympathized with what he was saying. As a former teacher I gave him an “insider tip” that it’s not just the students that have a countdown happening…
Oh, and these brothers love their baseball. One is into the Cubs. The other the White Sox. I can’t imagine how they get along half the time with a rivalry like that! They were awesome to work with, though!

I had such a good time with this family. What you don’t see in the above photos is that Dad was in a dancing mood with the music blasting from a nearby party in the area. It definitely made everyone laugh. =) Thanks so much for the laughs!
