Golden Sunset Family Session

Ummmm, so this sunset family session…I can’t even.  Seriously!?  And to think they nearly missed it???

See, they had scheduled an earlier session time and were driving out to this location from Chicago.  Their poor little girl threw up all over her original outfit during the car ride.  Being from the city and not having the time to go back and get her another outfit, we postponed the session until later that evening so they had a chance to go buy her a new outfit on their way to this location.  I know it was going to be really late for Em, so I was crossing my fingers she would be a trooper for a session this late.  Looking at the photo below…yeah, she was happy.

This is always such a pretty location.  However, when the sun and sky are just right it becomes even more beautiful.  I was just thinking I need to get out there for some of my own family photos this year.  I know I would love to have a set of these same photos with my own family, that’s for sure!

I know from emails that mom is in love with this set of photos.  I also love the fact I’ve been photographing them since Em was born and they’ve trusted me with their photos for so long.  But now comes the hardest part from her session (or any session, really): Which photo to enlarge and hang in her home?
