Palatine maternity photography

This may go down in my decade-plus of my business as the coldest session I’ve done. We were hoping for snow, but Mother Nature doesn’t always work in our favor. It was so cold and windy that we would hop back in our cars every few minutes to warm back up. Even using hand warmers my fingers were numb by the end of this maternity photo session! For sure it was the blustering wind that made it feel colder than it really was.

But look how they turned out! Her beautiful red dress really popped out against the preserve we were in near Palatine, IL to show off her pregnant belly. I also brought along a sweater wrap for her, but she also brought a special blanket given to her (such great meaningful photos for her to have). She also had a fun white scarf that really completed her look for this time of year, too.

Being able to meet this growing family was such as blast. I was thrilled I would get to see them again for their newborn’s photos in the weeks following this session.

Seriously, how gorgeous is she??? Jealous! I swear I get to photograph the most beautiful moms for the maternity photos.
