6 month old photographer Lake County IL

After booking a few months in advance I was SO happy to meet this family and their adorable little boy in my Lake Zurich studio! His pouty/serious face killed me in the first photo below. It totally accentuated his little cheeks! Haha. But honestly he was all smiles for his session so I had to work to find anything serious of him when I was going through his photos. What a happy baby! Plus I have my random assortment of things that I use and do to get a kids attention. It’s pretty crazy but it work, haha.

His parents picked out the most perfect outfit for him from the studio’s closet. I have soooo much to choose from so I try to narrow it down a bit before I totally overwhelm them with options, haha. But it fit him perfectly so I was happy I had it ready to go in my studio.

1 year old photographer Lake County IL

I can’t believe another baby has “graduated” from my Golden Year. This means I saw her for newborn, 6 month, and 1 year old photos. This series of sessions seem be to over and done before I know it. Trust me, I know that 1 year passes waaay faster for the parents but I am always shocked at how quickly that time passes for me!

She was sweet as can be when cuddling with mom and dad – look at that smile! Like most 1 year olds, she had no clue what to do with the cake. Haha. Its not very often that a kid just dives right in smashing away knowing what to do with it! I have a few tricks that I use that get them interested in the cake if they don’t want to eat it. Even still, like a true lady in a glittery dress she as dainty with her cake.

It was so great getting to know this family and to see them grow over the course of a year. I hope to see them again this fall for updated family photos!

Lake County IL newborn photographer

Back in late 2018 this mom contacted me for her session and earlier this spring, I finally got to meet her and her growing family! I know I have never met them before, but mom was so familiar to me (and she said I looked familiar, too). It’s a mystery we never figured out, so maybe it was fate that I was just meant to be their photographer because their session was perfection.

Seriously – what an adorable little girl they have on their hands! With her little halo of peach fuzz on top to her sweet little lips that would give kissy faces throughout her session. She was a little peanut and loved being posed. I was so happy I was about to capture this time for them!

Chicago Illinois newborn photographer

Another pretty girl was in the studio! I first met mom and her oldest daughter several years ago (back when my studio was in my home). Fast forward several years where a spur of the moment Facebook comment said she just had a baby girl and wanted pictures! Usually moms book in their 2nd trimester to be sure they have a spot on my calendar. Somehow the stars aligned and I had a spot that I could squeeze her in (not a typical thing for how far I typically book out in advance). It was meant to be!

It was so great seeing her again and her sweet new daughter. She was absolute perfection for me and I was thrilled to see her family grow with this sweetheart. I don’t think I saw her eyes open once the entire time she was with me!

And yes, everything you see in my photos belongs to the studio, so when I say that when you book with me all you need to bring is a baby I mean it! My goal is to make everything as easy and stress-free as possible, especially for sleep-deprived new families.
