The Brody man turns 1! And he was super active running around all over for his photos. I totally loved seeing him do his thing, climbing all over my crate, shoving his fingers into dad’s mouth, running away…you know, typical kid things that happen during a family session (and its 100% true). This age is so fun because its so unpredictable! Granted, I was mega pregnant for this session, but he made me reach my workout goal for the day so we’re good!

On the upside, allowing a kid to lead the way for their photos allows them to feel comfortable and their personality come though. Check out this guy and his expressive little face. Looooove. And that tongue! What a stinker.

If you are pregnant and needing maternity or newborn photos, most moms book their during their second trimester. Newborn photography is completed when baby is 2 weeks old or less, so I cannot stress enough to book early!

Family pictures Barrington IL

What a fun family and cute little guy turning one! They are new to the Golden Photography family and I couldn’t be happier to have been able to photograph them. Plus they live right across the street from the studio, so I just know their travel time to and from the studio was horrendous. Haaaa.

Their little guy LOVED the camera and hammed it up the whole time. We steered clear of the traditional cake smash (which is totally an option) and went for more photos of him and his personality. Plus, you can’t have a family photo without including the family dogs, right?

I was also so happy they chose a family image to frame using a barnwood frame. The 16×20 framing option they chose was perfect – you can see it at the very bottom (cell snap, so excuse the quality). I am loving that style of frame and know it will be perfect in their home!

Not only do I love photographing families, but I also love helping them choose which products are perfect for them! These barn wood frames come in several colors and styles and I am so excited to be offering them to the families I photograph. Plus they are created by a husband and wife owned small business so I am happy to support them, as well.

The fall is always the busy season for family photography. Eeeeeeveryone wants photos. And they all want them for their holiday cards! This family was lucky enough to get on my calendar right before I was done shooting for my maternity leave. I can’t believe how quickly my schedule filled this past season!

I was so happy to see this family again – I first met them during home holiday sessions I did over a year ago. (I missed out doing them this past year since I was pregnant/just had a baby during the time I would have normally done them). But I’ve now photographes them a few times and they’re such a fun family. Plus, aren’t their girls adorable!? And their youngest with her Bam-Bam pigtale on top (I may have dated myself), what a spitfire! She definitely keeps me on my toes when I see them. Meanwhile their oldest is super sweet and more reserved. Their personalities definitely come through in their photos!

They ended up ordering several of my barnwood frames to create a wall gallery to display their photos. The set looked amazing when I was packaging them up. I cannot wait to see them installed in their home!

Baby photographer Libertyville IL

Clearly since I am a baby photographer I love getting my newborn fix with the ones I photograph in my Lake Zurich, IL studio. I know – I had my own baby about 2 month ago. But I still love snuggling other babies, too! Good thing this is my job, right?

This beautiful baby boy couldn’t have been more of a dream for me to photograph. Lots of hair. Beautiful skin with the perfect amount of peely-ness. Plus, the three of them make a pretty beautiful family, right? Did I mention his HAIR! Newborns with a full head of hair are so fun for me. I really like seeing the hair poke out from the front of their hats! Its those little details that I love to photograph.
