I love seeing this guy in my studio so much! He’s a complete doll, is always happy, and has an amazing personality! This was a few months back for his 6 month photos (and he was in recently for his 9 month and very soon, his 1 year session). I was also lucky enough to photograph him as a newborn and then again when he was a few months old last fall. I love growing with families and being able to create something truly special for them.

Plus, I really get to know them and what they want from each session. It really lets me personalize things for each individual family.

Bonus, the new wood backdrop and flooring looks amazing with his outfit for this set! I need to use it more often for sessions. I love how the neutral color really lets him pop!

I’ve pretty much lost count of how many times this family has been at my studio. Aaaalllll the way back to when my studio was in my home. Their first born was one of my earliest newborns I photographed. So how lucky am I that I still get to see her and now her new little sister? They were back for her 6 month photos this past winter and I had the perfect little outfit for her.

My studio actually has a collection of clothes for your 6 month milestone and 1 year milestone sessions. Some parents want their own clothing and some opt for mine.

I love how this session no only showed off her personality, but it also shows off her chunky little arms, too. SO cute. And that phase goes away so quickly once they start to get really mobile. I love seeing it at this 6 month stage!

Lake County baby photographer

I had the honor of photographing this family’s baby in my studio recently. A military family – dad just happened to be home when his wife went into early labor. While I am sure it was stressful to have a premie it was also great for dad to be home to be present for it, as well. And let me tell you, this little guy is a fighter!

Unfortunately since he was early, it meant by the time he was released from the hospital dad already had to fly back out east and couldn’t be there for photos. But I was thrilled to be able to capture him with mom.

Oh, and this family’s next big thing? Moving to Hawaii. Now I just need to convince them to hire me for some family photos when he’s a bit older. Right!!??

Libertyville IL newborn photographer

This guy was part of my all-boy baby boom from last fall! I think it was 5 or 6 newborn boys in a row by the time I saw baby B. I was super excited for his parents though because I’ve known his mom since college. She and I were college teammates so I always get excited when I get to see them back in the studio for major things like this!

He was a sweet little boy (and I don’t think made a mess on me once, so that’s always a win in my personal book). He was definitely starting to wake up by the end of the session, which is normal for me, and I was able to catch him mid-stretch. I know I do a lot of posed newborns, but I love the natural poses, as well.
