My job never gets old. I love meeting parents-to-be during their first pregnancy for the maternity photos. Everything is so new and exciting and hearing them talk I can totally hear the love in their voice for this little baby they have yet to meet. That’s not to say 2nd, 3rd, etc pregnancies aren’t as exciting because they definitely are. But it’s just something about first-time parents, you know?

Plus this couple was extra fun because they were both laid back and up for anything I suggested. And I’m super laid back, so it all works out when we mesh like that. They recently moved from Lake Zurich to Barrington, so not only are they starting a new family but they’re also getting a new home set up and ready. Kudos to them! We met in downtown Long Grove and wandered around taking photos in all of their beautiful, rustic locations. And of course, no session is complete without a photo of their first children. The fur babies!

I got an email this morning that they are at the hospital and that they are all doing great! I don’t want to ruin the surprise of what they had, a boy or a girl. But I cannot wait to photograph them at my Lake Zurich studio!

Maternity sessions are best done in the 3rd trimester and newborn sessions are scheduled when your baby is less than 2 weeks old. That’s why it is so important to book EARLY to ensure you are able to fit onto my schedule. I would love to photograph you – please contact me for more information.

I can’t get enough of this girl! I first met this family last fall when I did their family photos. A few months ago I photographed the mom for her maternity photos and then very recently I photographed her new little boy! And NOW I got to photographer her (newly-promoted) middle child. Her older sister had photos taken in this same outfit at the same age she her parents though it would be super cute to get some of her in the same outfit.

Hello photos on the beach! How could I not suggest this? I knew of the perfect spot where she could play around and do her thing while I photographed her cuteness. She was in love with the water, though. I kid you not, the second I decided I was ready to pop off her shoes and let her stroll into the water, it was over. She had no fear and was all about soaking herself in the lake. Please book your photography session at least 3-4 weeks in advance (fall usually books months in advance). If you are pregnant, please book your newborn photos before your little one arrives!

I met this momma a few years back when she first opened Lola’s Fitting Room in downtown Grayslake, IL. Luckily we’re both similar-minded so we hit it right off. While her physical storefront may be on a hiatus, she still offers her fitting services so please do not hesitate to contact her! She will reopen her doors before you know it and you’ll definitely want to be in the loop when that happens.

Anywho, they recently moved into a beautiful home on the lake and honestly, the view is breathtaking. They insisted I use their dock and waterfront for the session and I am so happy they did! I loved everything about it! It was definitely one of those sticky summer nights, but they looked amazing! And stunning in that white dress. I mean right!?

The beginning of the busy season is ramping up for photographers. I went through my calendar to see what is remaining and to make things easy, I am putting it all here. If you would like to book one of the dates listed, please contact me ASAP to reserve your session.

The schedule below is not applicable for newborn sessions. For newborns it is best to contact me during your second trimester and before your little one is here so they can be scheduled appropriately when they are younger than two weeks. I cannot stress early booking enough as I get many moms requesting newborn photos months after they have been born and the poses you see on my website just aren’t possible when they are months old. The sooner you contact and book your session, the better. Yes, I am currently booking newborns into 2016!

For those wanting family/child/sibling/maternity outdoor sessions: below is ALL I have remaining. If you are wanting a full or mini session in 2015, now is the time to contact me to book. (Spoiler: mini sessions will not be available year-round in 2016 so if you’re wanting a mini please don’t wait). The dates listed below are sunset sessions. After the sunsets are full I will begin to take a select few Saturday AM sessions to open more availability). This means the session starts roughly an hour before sunset (or just before sunrise, depending). I’ll go over all those details with you as you book, don’t worry. I work with you along the way to get your perfect session.
